Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful place that amazes and inspires everyday: a beautiful blue sky that frames a spectacular moon as well as a Sun of an incredible orange. A tempered and generous sea that relaxes, but also imposes, and sunsets that deserve a pause in our day, and take our breath away.
A city in the middle of the mountain, the sea, the Sun and the sand, whose inhabitants are kind by nature and eager to serve the visitors. Its geographic location is enviable: a huge bay at the Pacific Ocean, with its blue waters of all blue tones on one side, and a mountain, with fresh temperatures, rivers, cascades and steep lands ready to be conquered on the other.
Romantic Zone
The Romantic Area is located right across the Rio Cuale and, besides being a very festive area, it reflects a typical Mexican town style due to its cobbled streets and its quiet atmosphere. Here you’ll find a wide gastronomic offer, fun night life, as well as beautiful public areas filled with color and a nice atmosphere. You will also find cafes, bars, stores, boutiques and art galleries, which have been present in Puerto Vallarta for more than 60 years, exhibiting the paintings, sculptures, photographs and other expressions of very talented local and foreign artists. If your’e fond of these kind of attractions you need to know that there is a guided tour called ArtWalk.
WHICH IS THE CORRECT NAME, SUITES FLAMINGO or SUITES FLAMINGOS?
The condominium’s correct name is Suites Flamingos, with a letter ‘s’ at the end to form the plural, although is most known as Suite Flamingo, without the ‘s’. All legal documents contain the plural form but people and the sign on the door use the singular one, why?
Well, according to senior residents, they used to have a sign on the gate that was very old and eventually in one heavy rain storm, the wind dislodged the ‘s’ at the end of the word ‘Flamingos’ and as the letter got lost, it was not returned to its place. The sign was so old that was beyond repair so it stood like that for a while until the owners’ association in an annual meeting decided to retain the services of a local carpenter to make a new sign. The old sign was given as a sample for size and design; the carpenter was also given clear instructions as that the word ‘Flamingos’ must have an ‘s’ on it.
Unfortunately, the carpenter forgot about the instructions and made a sign just like the old one but spreading the letters evenly and leaving no space to add the missing ‘s’ as it was requested by the property manager in an attempt to correct the mistake when the sign was received. The owners’ association decided to use the sign as it but has already agreed to have a sign with the properly spelled name when the present one would need to be replaced.
So there you have it! It does not matter if you call it Suites Flamingo or Suites Flamingos, it is indeed a very beautiful and special place for the owners and the guests that have honoured us with their visits!
